Every language in Dubai has borrowed this one. Shway shway — easy, take your time, no rush. It gets said in traffic on Sheikh Zayed, across a table at 11pm, to a contractor who's three weeks late. We built it under a palm because that's where the phrase belongs: orange fronds, warm white trunk, hand-drawn lettering that leans the way a good evening does.
✦ THE PIECE
A palm in orange LED flex, with the trunk and lettering in warm white, mounted on clear acrylic cut to the exact shape of the drawing. No rectangle, no visible panel — lit, you see the palm; unlit, you see a clean line drawing floating on the wall.
Both colours are real flex, not a tint: an orange jacket for the fronds, warm white for the trunk and the script. The jacket is coloured all the way through, so it still looks considered when it's off. The clear acrylic throws the glow onto the wall behind it, which is why the piece reads warmer on white brick than on a dark wall.
At 60 × 50 cm it's large enough to hold a wall on its own — no gallery arrangement required.

It's the opposite of how this city usually gets described. That's the point.

✦ WHY IT'S NOT NEON
We bend real glass in this studio, so we know what neon should look like — and we'll always tell you which one you're buying. This is LED flex: no glass, no gas, nothing to break, and safe to hang in a child's room. Our 8mm flex gives one continuous line of light rather than a row of little dots.
If you want this design in hand-bent glass instead, that's a commission and we'd love to make it. Talk to us about glass.

We’ll share the production file so you can double-check everything — layout, color, spelling, and size. If you spot a small change or decide to adjust something, no stress. We’ll confirm every detail with you before your light goes into production.

- Use 3M double sided transparent tape (not included)

Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email or whatsApp.
